Enhancing Transparency: Introducing Settings Change History for Better Control
You can now view a history of changes to app settings, including the date and time of each change, the user who made it, and which settings were modified.
This allows you to:
・ Identify the user responsible for unrecognized changes
・ Examine records created after a settings change to better understand its impact
From the App settings history page within App Settings, you can view the following actions:
・App updated
・App activated
・App settings changed
・Changes cancelled

Note:
・Changes to app settings are displayed per settings page.
・Up to 50 history entries are shown per page.
Feature Improvements
Better App Oversight with API Token and Webhook Counts
The App Management page now features two new columns in the app list: API Tokens and Webhooks.
This allows you to easily see the number of API tokens and webhooks configured for each app.
With this enhancement, you can efficiently verify whether API tokens or webhooks are configured when performing app inventory checks.

The command-line tools used for plugin and customization development are being consolidated into a single tool called cli-kintone.
Previously, the functions needed for plugin and customization development were spread across multiple tools, requiring users to switch between them.
With this new approach, all these functions will be centralized in cli-kintone, resulting in a more streamlined process for setting up development environments and accessing documentation.
The following four tools will be consolidated into cli-kintone:
・create-plugin: Creates plugin templates
・plugin-packer: Packages plugins into ZIP files
・plugin-uploader: Uploads plugins to Kintone
・customize-uploader: Uploads and downloads app customizations to and from Kintone
Maintenance for the existing tools will end in August 2026. Users currently using these tools are encouraged to migrate to cli-kintone.
For information on migrating from js-sdk, see the cli-kintone documentation.
Other Updates
MCP Server: Improved Filter Query Accuracy
Internal filter queries used to retrieve record information on the Kintone MCP Server have been enhanced.
These enhancements reduce the likelihood of incorrect determinations related to supported field types and operators, improving the accuracy of results generated by instructions sent to the generation AI.
Note:
-
These improvements are available starting from version 1.3.0.
-
You can find the latest version of the Kintone MCP Server, along with detailed update information, on the MCP Server Releases page.
Support for additional Kintone operations will be added incrementally.
API Updates
Here are the latest updates to our APIs.
For detailed information on each update, head over to the Developer Network.
Field Style Updates and Retrieval via the JavaScript API
You can now use the JavaScript API to update and retrieve styles, such as background color, text color, bold, underline, and border color, for fields displayed on the PC record addition/editing screen.
This enables features such as field highlighting.
Assign Element IDs to Label and Border Fields
This enables these fields to be referenced and manipulated via various JavaScript APIs introduced later.
Field Visibility Control via JavaScript API
JavaScript APIs for toggling field visibility and retrieving visibility status are now available for Label, Border, and Blank space fields.
This allows for finer control over the visibility of all field types that can be placed on a form via the JavaScript API.
Get Form Layout API: Element IDs for Label and Border Fields
The Get Form Layout API and Update Form Layout API can now retrieve form layout information for the current app, including Element IDs for Label and Border fields.
New Features Under Consideration
You can explore the new features the Kintone development team is working on. To test these features, go to Kintone Administration, select Update Options, and adjust the settings under New Features under Consideration.
You are invited to use the Help us improve Kintone option to share your feedback on these new features. Your insights are highly valued!
Please note that new features under consideration may undergo specification changes or be discontinued at any time, even outside regular maintenance periods.
Revisiting: Revamping the Front-End Foundation – Notifications Page
This feature, previously announced in the January update, is now available when the New Features Under Consideration option is enabled.
The announcement is reposted here for reference.
The Kintone development team is updating the front-end technology foundation used since the initial release, improving layouts and components across multiple pages.
As part of this effort, the front-end infrastructure for the Notifications page has been completely overhauled, and a new version with updated designs and functionality is currently under development.
Once enabled via a New Features Under Consideration, a toggle button will appear on the existing Notifications page, allowing users to switch to the new interface.
This change will only apply to users who choose to enable the toggle, and users can revert to the previous interface at any time.

For a detailed explanation of the changes to the front-end architecture, please refer to the previous announcement about the App Settings Facelift.
Updating Page Layout for Enhanced Usability
The page layout is being updated to create a more universal design. This improves functionality and reduces the learning curve for a broader range of users.

Switching Notification Types and Filters
The notification filter toggle appears in the left column of the page, allowing users to review notification content while switching between notification types and filters based on specified conditions.
Additionally, keeping the Show only unread option enabled ensures that only unread notifications are displayed, regardless of the active filter.

Notification Search Function
Users can quickly search notifications using keywords.
In Advanced search, users can refine results by keyword, date range, or From, which indicates the user who triggered the notification.

Batch Marking Notifications as Read
Users can select multiple notifications at once and mark them all as read, making notification management more efficient.

Expanding Grouped Notifications
Notifications grouped as "+N others" can be expanded with a single click, keeping the list compact while allowing users to view individual notifications when needed.
