Kintone AI Lab has introduced an exciting new feature that enables you to easily summarize discussions within threads using AI. This innovative technology analyzes conversations and automatically highlights the key points for you.
With this feature, you can quickly catch up on project interactions and knowledge sharing among team members through the summarized information. It's super handy for newcomers and individuals from other teams who want to stay informed about past discussions.
This feature makes it easier for everyone to share and use information within Kintone, encouraging better teamwork and communication across departments!
AI offers two kinds of summaries: Whole Thread Summary and Post-by-Post Summary.
Let's start with Whole Thread Summary.
▼ Whole Thread Summary
AI automatically summarizes the thread, providing a quick overview of the key points.
One-Click Thread Summary
▼ Post-by-Post Summary
It is possible to summarize posts and their replies as a single unit.
This feature helps gain a detailed overview of a specific topic, especially in discussions with many replies.

Note:
The Kintone MCP Server is now available for deployment in a local environment!
This update enables users to enhance their Kintone experience by integrating it with powerful generative AI tools, such as Claude Desktop.
With this new functionality, you can seamlessly operate Kintone using generative AI or command-line interfaces.
This release supports essential Kintone operations, including retrieving and adding record information, making it easier than ever to manage your data efficiently.
Currently Available Kintone Operations:
Note:
You can now filter records based on whether files are attached.
For example, in a Deal Management App, this feature lets you identify all cases that have attached purchase orders. In an Expense Management App, it can be used to set reminders for apps that are missing receipts.
This enhancement simplifies the process of filtering records related to tasks that involve managing attached files.
Example: Record Filter Dialog
Note:
Filter conditions for the Attachment field can be applied in:
The App Management page now includes a new column labeled App Administrators. This enhancement enables administrators to quickly view the number of app administrators for each app.
Administrators can optimize and improve settings by identifying apps with too many or too few administrators.
This feature is available exclusively to Administrators and enhances the overall app management experience.
In the mobile version of the record details page, the Current assignees section is now visible when a task has been assigned to a user. If a task has multiple assignees, you can easily check the processing status for each one.
Previously, you had to verify the assignee by checking the displayed action button or reviewing the change history to confirm the current assignee.
You can now easily search for keywords in the text of PDF files attached to your records while previewing them.
No more need to open those PDFs in a separate viewer app just to find what you're looking for.
With this update, you can quickly search through the contents of your PDF files directly within the Kintone app, making it easier than ever to access the information you need.
Example: Search for "CMS" in a PDF file
Note:
The iOS version of the Kintone mobile app now includes a handy link to the password reset page on the login page!
If you happen to forget your password, you can easily reset it right from the app—no need to reach out to an administrator. This makes things a lot easier for everyone!
Just a quick note: This link will only appear if your administrator has enabled the Allow users to reset their password option.
Note:
A significant enhancement in cli-kintone with the introduction of server-side processing for UPSERT operations.
This update, available in version 1.14.2 and later, is designed to enhance performance by reducing execution time and memory usage, particularly for applications with large datasets. Additionally, users can now streamline operations, as fewer API requests are required for UPSERT tasks.
Released on August 6, 2025 (JST), this update promises to enhance your experience with cli-kintone.

In our latest update, the JavaScript API has been enhanced to improve user interaction within Kintone apps.

These new features streamline the process of obtaining user confirmations and providing immediate feedback, ultimately making your apps more intuitive and responsive.

AI View Analysis: AI-Powered Summary of Displayed Data
Kintone AI Lab is introducing a new feature that allows for AI analysis and summarization of data displayed in a record view.
This feature enables users to reference record data for topic analysis, identify key records, and generate summary text.
For instance, AI can evaluate the sales activity data collected by your team and generate a straightforward, easy-to-understand summary report. You’ll get clear key findings and sales performance metrics at a glance, enabling you to spend less time analyzing numbers and more time taking action.
