New Features
New Portal Creation Features for Kintone Administrators!
You can now say goodbye to the one-portal limit—administrators can create and manage multiple portals across separate tabs. Previously, functionality was restricted to just a single portal, making this a significant step forward in flexibility.
On the second and subsequent portals, you have more flexibility to set the content (widgets) that will be displayed and to arrange their layout. This makes it easier to create portals that are tailored to your specific objectives.
Future enhancements are also planned for the first portal to improve its functionality.
Additional Portals Examples:
Note:
- Currently, portals other than the first are only available on the PC view.
#1 Features of Additional Portals: Customize your widget content and layout for each portal!
In the second and subsequent portals, you can select and customize various widgets to display the content you want.
Placing the widgets is easy; simply drag and drop them into your chosen locations. You can also set up multiple widgets of the same type for display. This feature allows users to quickly and efficiently access the information they need on the portal.
Example of Additional Portal Settings:

#2 Features of Additional Portals: Selection of Default Portals by Department
You can select the default portal for each department from the additional portals you have created.
Users in departments without specific configurations will continue to see the default portal as their primary display.

Feature Improvements
Search Apps More Easily with Multi-Keyword Support
Kintone's app search feature has been significantly enhanced to support multiple keywords.
Now, instead of being limited to exact phrase matches, you can type several keywords separated by spaces to find the apps you're looking for more easily. This means you can search more flexibly and efficiently—even when you’re unsure of the exact app name or details.
For example, if you were searching for an "Event Calendar" app:
Note:
Starting from the August version and onwards, users will have the ability to perform multiple keyword searches for apps in app settings, Kintone administration, and Spaces.
Enhanced Filtering Options for Identifying Blank Text Area Fields
Recent updates have significantly improved the filtering capabilities for Text area fields in apps. Users can now easily determine whether specific fields are empty or contain information.
This improvement is beneficial for identifying records with missing information, for example, filtering for entries with blank "Complaint Details" fields. You can also use it to focus on valuable input by showing only the survey responses that include "Optional Comments."
By helping you spot empty fields at a glance, this update streamlines your record management process and improves data quality.
Filter Dialog Box in the Record List View:
When selecting a Text area field in which you have set filter conditions, you will have the option to choose between "is empty" and "is not empty."
For instance, you can filter records to show only those where the "Complaint Details" field is empty.
Available in the following settings:
- Filter conditions for view settings
- Filter conditions for graph settings
- Conditions for notification triggers in the reminder notification settings
Action Buttons Just Got Smarter!
The functionality for app action buttons has been enhanced. You can now control when a button appears by setting specific field values or statuses as conditions.
For example, you can now customize app actions to appear only for records marked with a process management status of "Completed." Previously, it was not possible to control the visibility of action buttons based on a record’s status.
This update significantly enhances app flexibility and usability by providing more precise control over when actions are displayed.

Full-Screen Preview for Attached Files on the Kintone iPad App
The Kintone mobile app for iPad has been updated to enable full-screen preview mode for files attached to records. This update is included in version 3.0.6, which was released on June 13, 2025.
In versions before 3.0.0 (released on October 15, 2024), the attached files were displayed in full-screen preview mode on iPads. However, starting with version 3.0.0 and later, attached files were shown in a window smaller than the iPad screen.
Note:
・You must update your Kintone mobile app to version 3.0.6 or later to utilize this new feature.
API Updates
The recent update includes a JavaScript API that provides access to information about the environment, including the domain name and license information. This new feature enables easier switching between customized behaviors based on the execution environment.
This month's update features a total of 25 new APIs, including the JavaScript API, which enables the retrieval of both user and app-related information, as well as details about the runtime environment. These new APIs simplify the process of accessing information that was previously challenging to obtain with the existing API, making it more manageable and maintainable.
The Kintone development team plans to continue releasing APIs that will allow for the retrieval of a broader range of information and provide greater control over screen elements in the future.

The JavaScript API now allows you to determine whether each page is before or after the "front-end infrastructure facelift." This capability enables you to distinguish between pages that were designed before the revamp and those that were updated afterwards.
What is the Front-End Infrastructure Facelift?
The Kintone development team is committed to enhancing the speed of future product updates by overhauling the front-end technology infrastructure, which has been used since the product's initial launch. As part of this overhaul, the team will also restructure existing pages and review current functions, with the revamped pages scheduled for release in phases.
