Strengthening Governance: Enhanced Permission Management for App Control in Kintone
Kintone administrators now have the ability to restrict app management within their domain through the updated Permission Management settings. Only users authorized by the Kintone administrator will be allowed to configure app settings in this domain. Users not granted permission to manage apps will be unable to make any changes to any apps, regardless of the individual app settings.
Previously, any user designated as an administrator for a specific app could manage that app. This setup made it difficult to gradually expand the number of users with app management capabilities while ensuring that the Kintone administrator maintained overall control.

Enhanced Error Notification on “Permissions for Records” Page
In the latest update to the app settings, users will now see an error message at the top of the Permissions for Records page if they have an issue saving changes.
This improvement replaces the previous method, in which error messages were only displayed near the location of the error.
With this change, users can quickly and easily identify issues without the need to scroll down.
Displaying Errors When Saving with “Permissions for Records”
Improved Handling of Attachments in cli-kintone (v1)
When using the command-line tool cli-kintone (v1) to import or export records, the system will now automatically retry operations when it believes it will help manage attachments more effectively.
This change is expected to minimize situations where the import or export process takes a long time, fails partway through, and requires restarting from the beginning.

- This update applies to cli-kintone versions 1.14.0 and later.
- cli-kintone version 1.14.0 was released on February 19.

New Language Support in Plugin Development Manifest File
The plugin name, description, and website URL in the manifest file for plugin development have been updated to include additional locales: Traditional Chinese, Thai, and Brazilian Portuguese.
This enhancement will enable plugin developers to provide more easily accessible information about their plugins to users of these languages.

- The packaging tool, plugin-packer, will be updated to support additional languages.
- If you are using Kintone in Traditional Chinese and the locale value of zh-TW in the manifest file is not set, the values specified with the locale value of en will be displayed.
Previously, when using Kintone in Traditional Chinese, the values specified with the locale value of zh would be shown.
Update Options
Update Options is a tool that allows administrators to control how Kintone updates are applied. Administrators can choose when to roll out updates to their team using the options.
To access Update Options, click the gear wheel to the left of the search bar and select Kintone Administration. Select Update Options under Other.
