What are you looking forward to about attending and speaking at Kintone Connect?
Being in the same room with a diverse group of people who think deeply about their work with an open mind and a growth mindset. Interacting and sharing ideas and experiences with such a dynamic group is going to be fabulous! I am looking forward to learning and hearing the wide range of perspectives from everyone.
What will you be speaking about?
In a word: Collaboration. I will be talking about how leaders and teams can take collaboration to the next level. An organization’s people are still its most valuable asset. It can be a challenge to keep human connections meaningful in the digital landscape. In today’s digital workplace, there are amazing tools that can be leveraged to enhance, not replace, human to human interactions.

From C-suite executives to project managers. Anyone who is a leader for any kind of team. We all need collaboration to get things done. You will gain new insights on how to create a great environment to get the best out of your people in a rapidly evolving digital workplace.
What common characteristic do you see in all organizations with high performing teams?
Trust. Leaders in these companies have proactively adopted a trust mindset in the way they interact with their people. Trust is given from the very beginning. This quote from Jim Goodnight, the CEO of SAS captures this idea perfectly: If you treat employees like they make a difference, they will.
What led you to pursue a career in the field of organizational culture and performance?
I grew up with technology. I am a Xennial sandwiched in between Gen X and the Millennials. As a kid I could go down to the local Radio Shack and get parts to fix my tape deck. I have had a front row seat to to digital revolution as I grew up and built a career. It is amazing to me how technology now allows us to collaborate all over the world and bring people closer together.
