February Kintone product updates will take effect on February 12, 2023.
Overview
Feature Improvements
The Kintone development team is revamping the front-end architecture that has long been used to develop Kintone's UI. The front-end architecture revamp involves the facelift of the design and layout of the app setting pages.
Transition to Current Design
The appearance of the app settings has been transitioned to the current design. The transition aims to help users learn and understand the app settings more easily.

Standardizing the Page Layout
The layout of each part of the settings page has been standardized. Previously, the "Save" button was in the upper left corner of some settings pages while in the lower right corner of others. Now, the button's standard position is in the lower right corner. Other parts, such as breadcrumbs and the settings sections, have also been standardized.
Example of standardized layout:
1: Breadcrumbs, heading, and a summary description
2: Settings section
3: Save and Cancel buttons
Standardization of Parts
Some parts had distinct differences in appearance or operation between the old and current design. For example, for the "user selection" tool, two designs with significant differences in appearance and operation co-existed. This required users to familiarize themselves with two different controls. Standardizing the parts intends to reduce these situations and lower the hurdle for new users to learn the app settings.
User Selection Tool:
Harder to Miss the "Create" Button
The "Create" button (sometimes the "New" button) on the settings page has been moved closer to the setting items, making them harder to miss and easier to understand. Previously, on some settings pages, the buttons were located above the headings at the top, far from the settings section, making it very difficult for users unfamiliar with Kintone to understand how to use the buttons.
Example of Action Settings Page:
Changes to the Process of Applying Access Permission Settings
Revised the process of updating apps with record or field access permission changes. The process of applying the updated access permission settings and other app updates to records will be split into multiple steps. Furthermore, applying access permission settings to records will be divided into multiple steps. The multi-step approach will help resolve the high load problem on Kintone when updating apps.
With the new approach, the message displayed on the settings page will also change while applying the updated access permissions settings to records.

Help Us Improve Kintone
These updates were provided as "New Features in Development" under "Update Options" starting in August 2022 so that users could try them out in advance. We have received a lot of feedback from our users, and based on that feedback, we have made improvements and released the February version.
