Discover the latest update to our Process Management settings, which includes a new visual display feature that showcases Status and Action settings in a diagram format.
This improvement is designed to simplify the verification of process configuration and enhance the identification of issues during settings review.
Kintone latest update allows administrators to enforce two-factor authentication for all users more efficiently.
Previously, administrators had to manually check each user's settings and encourage them to enable two-factor authentication. Now, allowing administrators to enforce this setting for all users is more effortless, freeing up valuable time for other tasks.
This means no more manual checks and enhanced security, allowing more time to focus on essential tasks.
Note:
- When this setting is enabled, password authentication for the REST API cannot be used, which may affect any integrated service or customization that relies on password authentication.
- The Kintone development team is looking into adding a more user-friendly authentication method for the REST API that can be used with this setting enabled.
API Updates
Introducing New REST API Functionality for Updating Space Settings
Kintone's most recent update allows you to update Space settings using the REST API.
Previously, the REST API only allowed retrieval of Space settings. This enhancement offers greater flexibility and control for managing Space configurations.

Enhanced App Creation Permissions Management in Space: Updated REST API
In our latest Kintone update, the REST API now supports retrieving and updating the Only Allow Space Administrators to Create Apps setting in the Space settings.
This update provides more control, allowing administrators to manage app creation permissions in the Space more effectively.

Kintone has released a new REST API that allows users to retrieve and update app settings, such as Record Title, via the REST API.
This update has been available for preview starting in May, so users will have ample time to make any necessary code changes before it is fully implemented.

New Features in Development
Our Kintone development team is constantly working on new features.
These new features will be added to Kintone's New Features in Development without your prior notice.
However, you can enable the new features by navigating to Kintone Administration, then selecting Update Options, and finally deciding New Features in Development settings. This gives you complete control over the features you want to enable, as they will not be enabled automatically.
Discover the New Feature of "Apps Referencing This App" for Effortless App Maintenance
A new feature has been added to the app settings called Apps Referencing This App. This feature lets users quickly identify apps that reference the current app using lookup and related record list functions.
With this update, users can confidently perform maintenance and modify app settings.
Other Updates
Important Update: Discontinuation of the Tour Feature
The Tour feature will be discontinued in the June 2024 product updates. This feature, designed for new users, provides ongoing explanations of functions on the page in sequence.
The Kintone development team has discontinued this feature due to resource allocation, feature usage, improvement requests, and the long-term product strategy. You can look forward to Kintone's continued evolution.
Note:
- Until the November 2024 updates, you can disable this discontinuation in the Update Options to continue using the tour feature.
Available Update Options
Update Options is a tool that allows administrators to control how Kintone updates are applied. Administrators can choose when to roll out updates to their team using the options.
To access Update Options, click the gear wheel to the left of the search bar and select Kintone Administration. Select Update Options under Other.
