New Features
A new feature many users have requested is now available! Previously, it was impossible to change an app code on the app settings page once it had been set. The only way to change it was to delete the app and start over, which was inconvenient and time-consuming.
However, with this update, you can now easily change the app code on the app settings page even after it has been set. This new feature saves time and hassle.
Note:
When the app code is changed, the link to the app record provided by the previous app code no longer works.
Kintone has recently introduced a new feature that allows administrators to control the use of plug-ins on specific apps. This feature helps prevent the unauthorized use of plug-ins in apps not permitted by the administrator and simplifies the management of plug-in usage.
Before the update, whenever a plug-in was added, all apps within the domain could utilize it. However, with this new update, administrators can now limit the usage of plug-ins to specific departments or groups. They can also restrict the usage of a particular plug-in to a specific app. This gives the administrator greater control over the usage of plug-ins across the domain.
Here are the instructions to set up the plug-in permissions:
Note:
When the app code is changed, the link to the app record provided by the previous app code no longer works.
Feature Improvements
A new process has been added to verify whether a category can be deleted from the app settings. This new process enables quicker detection by identifying the specific category causing the error.
Before this update, the verification process was only initiated when the "Update App" button was clicked to update the app settings. However, it was impossible to determine which category was causing the error, making it difficult to troubleshoot the issue.
With this update, error messages are displayed when an attempt is made to delete a category, allowing you to identify the issue early on. This makes it clear which categories cannot be deleted, streamlines the troubleshooting process, and saves time.

Mobile Updates
The Kintone mobile app for Android now offers the convenient feature of adding shortcuts to the Android home screen. This feature lets you quickly access the apps you frequently use on your mobile device.
Once added, these shortcuts will direct you to the desired app with minimum effort, allowing you to start working on it immediately.
Here's how to add a shortcut on your home screen for the Sales & Leads app:
API Updates
Kintone's OAuth Client API Update: Retrieve and Update App Settings, Including Graph Setting
Kintone has introduced new APIs to the OAuth client API. These APIs now allow developers to retrieve and update app settings, including graph settings, even if Kintone has been integrated using OAuth.

New REST API for Retrieving a List of Added Plug-ins to App
Kintone now offers a new REST API that allows developers to retrieve a list of plug-ins that have been added to the app. This feature provides developers with quick access to plug-in information.

Kintone now provides developers with a new REST API feature that enables them to access and update the "Notes for App Administrators" in the app settings. With this feature, developers can retrieve the notes' content while updating the app settings and keep track of any changes made through the API. This development makes it easier for administrators to manage their apps effectively.

API Updates: Enhance Space Management with New REST API for Space Settings and Improved Space Information Retrieval
Kintone has released a new REST API that allows updating space settings. The API for retrieving space information has also been updated with a new property that retrieves settings that allow only space administrators to create apps.
These updates will be available for preview starting in May, giving Kintone developers enough time to make any required code changes before the updates are fully implemented.

New Features in Development
Our Kintone development team is constantly working on new features.
These new features will be added to Kintone's "New Features in Development" without your prior notice.
However, you can enable the new features by navigating to "Kintone Administration," then selecting "Update Options," and finally deciding "New Features in Development" settings. This gives you complete control over the features you want to enable, as they will not be enabled automatically.
Introducing a New Warning Feature for Formula Calculation in App Settings
A new feature has been added to the app settings, allowing you to set up formulas more efficiently. With this new functionality, you will now receive a warning message if you enter an incorrect operator and data type combination in the calculation formula field. Previously, an erroneous entry would only show an error message after updating the app settings. However, now you will be alerted before you save the incorrect formula. This update will save you time and frustration by allowing you to correct any mistakes before they become problematic.
