What will you be speaking about?
I'll be moderating a panel on the changing nature of workplace management. How are businesses changing with the introduction of new technologies? Who is driving this change? And what impact will this have on the future of business?
Who should attend Kintone Connect and why?
We've already seen the impact of technology like email, instant messaging, wikis, blogs, CRM, cloud services, and social networks on business, but this is only the beginning. We will discuss the changing nature of how work gets done. Who is driving these changes and trends? And what tools and services support this transformation?
Tell us a bit of your history:
I'm an angel investor, LP in August Capital, serial entrepreneur, and author of the book Make Elephants Fly. I'm also the Captain & CEO of Founders Space, one of the world’s leading incubators and accelerators, with over 50 partners in 22 countries.
Always innovating on my life, I have tried more professions than cats have lives, including serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, angel investor, studio head, computer engineer, filmmaker, Hollywood TV exec, published author, coder, game designer, manga rewriter, animator and voice actor.
How do you see digital connections evolving for workers in the future?
We are going to be more connected, not less. Increasingly, our jobs will depend on these digital connections. We will be leveraging AI to handle many of the routine tasks we do manually today. This will speed up the processes and make us more efficient. It will also cut out many of the more tedious and boring tasks.
Technology will bring a positive change, but it will also require us to adapt. Unless we keep up with the latest innovations, we may find ourselves falling behind, uncompetitive and out of a job. That's just a fact of life in the future.
Kintone Connect is all about superheroes in the workplace – what’s your super power?
My business super power is leveraging my network. I have a worldwide network of entrepreneurs, investors and business partners. I travel 70 percent of my time, and do business in 22 countries. I could only have this global network by using technology. In China, I use WeChat. In the US, it's Facebook. Overseas it's WhatsApp. I still need invest more time into KakaoTalk in Korea and Line in Taiwan and Japan. It's hard to keep up, even if you have a super power!
