The IF function is a feature that allows users to implement conditional logic to their calculated fields and text fields with automatic calculations. When applied, target fields can be assigned to return specific values depending on if a written conditional statement has been satisfied for not.
What Does the IF Function Look Like?
At its most basic level, the IF function can be written as a formula like below:
IF(field = value, x,y)
Users can also include several operators--AND, OR, NOT--in their expressions to incorporate additional branching logic, or use nested functions to layer conditional expressions in sequence.
